Require- Complied with?
Requirement ment (yes / no) Comment
citation
The Eagle Mines are on Segment 13b of the Lower
Yampa/Green River Sub-basin of the Lower
Colorado River Basin. CWQCC lists numeric
standards for Segment 13b in its regulation 3.7.0.
The permittee monitors water in the Williams Fork
River at a site upstream from Eagle's mining (WF-
1), and a site downstream from mining (WF-2).
CWQCC Data from the upstream site indicate the Williams
I. Instream Numeric regulation es Fork River naturally exceeds the iron numeric
Standards 3.3.0 y standard frequently, and the lead and manganese
standards occasionally. Comparison of the
upstream and downstream data indicate mining
and reclamation operations at the Eagle Mines do
not cause the numeric standards to be exceeded.
NPDES monitoring of mine pumping at outfalls
024 and 003 shows the quality and quantity of the
pumped water would not cause an exceedance of
Williams Fork River instream standards.
CWCC Eagle 5 and 9 are not subject to the
J.
