Per Rule the tentative decision date is set for June 27, 2008. The date may change if <br />the application receives an objection or all issues have not been addressed by that time. Staff has <br />completed a Preliminary Adequacy Review (PAR). Please note, clarify or correct the following: <br />6.4.1 -Exhibit A, Legal Description, appears to be acceptable. <br />6.4.2 -Exhibit B, Index Map is acceptable. <br />6.4.3 -Exhibit C, Pre-Mining and Mining Map is acceptable <br />6.4.4 -Exhibit D, Mining Plan <br />(c) Please provide statement that pertinent erosion and sedimentation controls shall be installed <br />prior to any surface disturbance. <br />Please clarify the statement "Some of the disturbed area of the original pit will be reclaimed per <br />the landowner's request". Other portions of the plan indicate the area will be used for <br />processing and stockpiling which will require the entire area to be reclaimed. <br />The Mine Plan notes the possibility of asphalt operations. However, this processing is not <br />indicated on Page 4 of the general application. Please clarify. <br />If an asphalt operation is planned, please provide a detailed plan for the handling of reject and <br />asphalt handling. The plan should include a weekly clean-up protocol. <br />6.4.5 -Exhibit E, Reclamation Plan <br />(1)(9) Please clarify that no asphalt will be buried as backfill material from asphalt production if <br />it's part of processing plans. <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver Grand Junction Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
