Re: Minor Revision Request for # 4 Fan Addition
Dear A9s. Thompson,
~9id-Continent Resources hereby requests a minor revision to
Fermit #C-017-81 in order to allow an addition to be built onto
our #4 Fan located at #2 Mine.
In the past few months we have recognized the need for mare
_ ventilation in the M-Bed. After reviewing several options it was
decided that the best option would be to drive a new entry out
--~~, near our #4 fan and build a concrete and steel connection to the
existing fan (figure 1).
The new portal area as shown on map 1 will occupy an area
approximately 40' by 25' or .02 acres. Much of this area has
already been disturbed when the original #4 Fan was constructed.
It will be necessary for us to remove the existing stockpile of
dirt near the fan and new material at the face-up area. This
small amount of material will be used to shore up the berms
around the fan site. As I pointed out to you during the last
inspection there is no available top soil at this site.
Because the area of disturbance is very small we are asking for a
small area exemption at this location.
The bonding calculations for this site is as follows:
Fortal Sealing = $500.00
Structure Removal-3360 cu. ft. x $.13/cu.ft. _ $436.80
Final Grading - $70.00/ac. x .02 ac. _ $ 1.40
Topsoil - .5'x .02ac. :~ 43560 x $.85/yd = $ 15.30
