Box 158
Carbondale, Colorado 81623
Re: Adequacy, Technical Revision No. 6, Rock Tunnel Pad Extension,
Fi 1 e No. C-8] -011
Dear Mr. Bowman:
I have reviewed the above referenced technical revision for adequacy. The
plan is approvable with the exception of reclamation costs and plans. In
order to adhere to approximate original contours (AOC) the fill will need to
be remove and used in downgrading of haulroads or other areas needing fill
• materials. It is true that the fill is excess, however, due to its closeness
to Dutch Creek and access to the approved rock disposal site, the area is not
appropriate for a plan for reclamation and associated costs. Caution must be
taken during construction to minimize disturbance to the small Dutch Creek
tributary and Dutch Creek.
Cail if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Candace M.
