The belt will be 36 inches wide and the entire system will <br />be covered (see examples). .The section fran the wash plant to Coal Creek <br />(including tube) will be contained in the slurry pond temporarily (Phase I). <br />A new pond will be constructed adjacent and north of the slurry pond <br />(Phase II). See map. The total disturbed area, shown in red, is 0.56. <br />acres, the new pond area., shown in green, will be 0.6 acre feet; detailed <br />plans to follow shortly. The entire system will be built on bents and <br />trusses like the present coal refuse belt. In fact, various parts of the <br />old refuse system (steel) will be used in the new one. <br />The section over Coal Creek (160 feet +) will be in an eight-foot <br />tube. The section of belt north of Coal Creek will drain into the two <br />sediment ponds (in yellow).
