Completeness Review of Permit Application Package ~
Dear Mr. Carter:
On February 27, 2008, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety received your 110(2) Hard Rock/Metal
Mining Reclamation Permit Application package for the Last Chance 3 & 4 Mine, File No. M-2008-012.
Preliminary review by the Division noted some issues with proper notices and exhibits. On April 10, 2008
Nuvemco submitted the additional required documentation. Staff is pleased to inform Nuvemco that the
application is now considered complete for review. The initial Decision Date is set for May 15, 2008. A
Preliminary Adequacy Review (PAR) will be sent out shortly.
The Division preliminary review of the geochemical testing notes some questions as to the accuracy of the data
or sample. In particular the ore SPLP testing notes no detect uranium and only 1.9 ing/L . Nuvemco will need
to resubmit a fresh ore sample and waste rock to a lab for testing in order for the Division to accept them.
This letter shall not be construed to mean that there are no other technical deficiencies in your application. The
Division will review your application to determine whether it is adequate to meet the requirements of the Act
after submittal of all required items.
