i~ <br />i~ <br />i~ <br />i~ <br />7.0 RECLAMATION ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR 2008 <br />In addition to the continued mo~'nitoring of pit slope stability and water quality, <br />Homestake continues to move forward with final closure and reclamation of the Pitch <br />I property. During 2008, the followinli activities are planned: <br />^ Monitor the Tie Camp Cheek Disposal Cell for depressions where water <br />could pond; continue to management the drainage off and around the cell <br />and; perform any needed supplemental scarification and seeding with a <br />similar mix used for reveg~tation throughout the property; <br />^ Planting of tree seedling) on the face of the Indian Creek Waste Rock <br />Disposal area; <br />^ Continued reclamation work on the constructed wetlands located in the <br />u <br />drainage area in the vicinity of the former RTP including placement of <br />additional organic material (e.g.peat) and other enhancement activities to <br />further promote sediment lontrol; <br />^ Make improvement to drainage channels on the south wall of the North Pit <br />and in other areas throughlout the property; <br />^ Continued noxious weed control managment; <br />^ Renew the Radioactive Material License and submit the scheduled renewal <br />i~ <br />documentation for the CDPS permit; <br />^ Conduct monthly and quiarterly monitoring and reporting pursuant to the <br />CDPS permit at complian Ile point SW-33 for water releases; <br />^ Conduct annual surveys of the slope monitoring monuments and <br />inclinometers; and <br />^ Monitor waste rock dumps) and sediment control embankment. <br />Pitch Reclamation Project <br />Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board <br />2007 Annual <br />Reclamation Report <br />25 <br />
