Increased growing season moisture over this period has <br />resulted in increased vegetative growth from established mature plants while the cover and <br />composition contributed by these plants has remained fairly constant. <br />Monitoring of Reclaimed Well Pad Sites <br />Above ground biomass production, plant species composition and ground cover data were <br />collected from three reclaimed well pad sites, lA-4HI, 3A-4H and 4-3H, on September 7 & 8, <br />2007. The data were collected from within ten 9.6 square foot quadrates within each reclaimed <br />well pad at the peak of production for most of the plant species used in reclamation. Biomass <br />production was measured using a double sampling procedure of estimates adjusted by actual <br />values from representative samples. Three of the ten quadrates within each reclaimed well pad <br />were estimated then clipped to derive an actual green weight correction factor used to adjust <br />estimated green weights. Clipped samples were oven dried to obtain an air dry weight correction <br />factor for green weights. <br />Table 4 shows a summary of the ground cover data collected from the three reclaimed sites in <br />comparison to the ground cover data collected from nearby native rangelands.
