• Continue the approval of the NOI to a later date to allow COAG the time necessary to
install the shaft closures on both shafts. Upon approval from the Division that the shafts
have been property secured, a reclamation bond may not be required for shaft closure.
4. COAG states that waste rock will not be placed on the surface, but stored underground. Please
specify the amount of material to be stored underground, the location of underground storage
and the characteristics of the waste rock.
5. COAG states that revegetation efforts maybe delayed on lands proposed for future mining or on
any affected land that cannot feasibly be remedied. Please be aware that COAG is responsible
for reclamation of disturbance created under this NOI until a future mining permit is obtained.
In addition, the area under this NOI must be included in the affected area boundary and bonded
for in any future permit.
6. COAG notes that a Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) will be implemented on site.
Please explain in further detail the SWMP under this NOI.
Once the above- mentioned items have been submitted to the satisfaction of the Division, the Division will
estimate the cost to reclaim the site based on the reclamation plan proposed by the applicant. You will be
notified of the required financial warranty prior to the decision date.
Please be advised that COAG Prospecting Project; File No. P-2007-069 maybe deemed inadequate,
and the application maybe denied on June 14, 2008 unless the above-mentioned adequacy review
items are addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. If you feel more time is needed to complete
your reply, the Division can grant an extension to the decision date. This will be done upon receipt
of a written waiver of your right to a decision by June 14, 2008 and request for additional time.
This must be received no later than the deadline date.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 303-866-4943.
Sinc re y,
E ca S.
