Comments in Section IV describe any enforcement actions
taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
Page 1/1 North Thompson Creek C-81-025
19 March 2008
This was a complete inspection of the North Thompson Creek Mine conducted by Jim Stark of
CDRMS. The mine has been reclaimed and the operator has applied for a final Phase III Bond Release
(a termination of jurisdiction for the site). The Division is still considering this application. The
weather was warm(mid 40's) and sunny and the ground was covered with snow.
Availability of records: All of the necessary records were available at the Garfield County
Courthouse in Glenwood Springs. See the records checklist at the end of this inspection for more
details.
The North Thompson Creek Mine site was still inaccessible due to snow at the time of the inspection.
After getting stuck in the snow in the past at the site, it was decided to wait until the weather/ground
conditions were moire amenable. The site will be checked over he next two months (April and May)
and inspected once ground conditions allow.
