During the past year we
experienced more utilization of material from the borrow pit than typical due to a large commercial
development on the northwest edge of town. I estimate that we removed approximately 20,000 tons in
2007 and anticipate much less usage in 2008.
We continue to move from the southwest corner of the permit area to the east and north, gradually
moving the haul road within the permit area as we go. We have begun backsloping the west bank and
the south bank to a 4:1 slope and covering with topsoil in preparation for seeding. Additional surface
preparation is planneci during the coming year.
Sincerely,
~~ ~~
Dave Stone
Public Works Director
Town of Limon
