Hydrologic Monitoring Plan <br />Northfield Mine <br />D. Data Processing and Reporting <br />1. Copies of the field and laboratory data will be sent <br />quarterly to the Division. <br />2. Data will be summarized in the Annual Hydrology Report <br />submitted to the Division, as described below. <br />II. Groundwater Sampling <br />A. Monitoring Locations (Refer to Figure 1, Hydrology Monitoring <br />Locations) <br />1. Three monitoring wells completed in the Ocean Wave coal <br />seam, designated NF-01A, NF-02, and NF-03A. <br />2. The Chandler Creek alluvium well, designated CCA-01. <br />3. Three monitoring wells will be completed in the same <br />strata as up gradient wells, located between the coal <br />mine and nearest up gradient well. The wells will be <br />designated SB-1, SB-2 and SB-3 of the South Boundary <br />• Water Monitoring Well (SBWMW) series. <br />4. Well completion data for all existing monitoring wells is <br />summarized on Table 3, Monitoring Well Completion Data. <br />B. Monitoring Frequency <br />1. Water level measurements will be taken quarterly at each <br />monitoring well. <br />2. Water quality samples will be collected and analyzed <br />semi-annually at each monitoring well. <br />3. The above measurements and samples will be completed <br />on like wells within a 24-hour period, if possible. <br />C. Sampling Procedure <br />1. The following information will be provided on each sample <br />bottle label: <br />- Name/ Location designation <br />- Date and Time <br />- Company Name <br />Sample preservative information <br />2. Sampling and measuring devices will be cleaned prior to <br />and after use, and samples will be placed in clean sample <br />containers which will be sealed at the sampling site. <br /> <br />
