SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />1. No alterations to the channel of the Cache la Poudre River <br />shall be allowed by this project. <br />2. A groundwater monitoring plan. shall be developed and <br />submitted to the WQCD for review and approval prior to the <br />initiation of gravel mining. At a minimum, the plan shall <br />consist of three monitoring wells (one upgradient, two _ <br />downgradient) located so as to characterize the quality of <br />shallow ground water above and below the mined area. <br />Downgradient monitoring wells shall be closed and new wells <br />-opened concurrent with the schedule of areas to be mined. <br />At a minimum, samples shall be taken quarterly and analyzed <br />for BTEX, pH, copper, and hardness. The monitoring plan <br />shall provide "details. on sam_pling,."analysis,. and quality <br />assurance protocols, and "on the "'analysis and "distribution of <br />data produced. IIpon approval of~the plan by the Division; <br />the applicant shall implement all requirements in the plan. <br />
