by the Timnath Pi.t and comparisons of depletions to historic consumptive use. Estimations of
depletions were based upon the current phase, Phase 1 A, of gravel mining operations. Each
subsequent phase will be reclaimed before or concurrently with the opening of the next phase. Phase
1 A has the largest area of all the planned phases of the mining operation; therefore, the depletions
caused by all sources will be greater for Phase 1 A then for the later phases. Figure 4.1 includes the
locations and areas of each of the planned phases of the Timnath Pit. Table 4.1 compares the
depletions that occur in the pit to the available water from DKC's Boxelder shares. Also included in
Table 4.1 is the monthly average actual CU historically attributed to the irrigated pasture. This CU
was calculated as the pro-rata share due to 151.7 acres of pasture out of 242.4 total irrigated acres
with an actual CU ~~f 194.3 AF. It should be noted that the current actual CU of the corn and alfalfa
crop is greater than the historic actual CU for the same crops because it has been assumed that the
IWR for the current crops will be met prior to the use of CU credits to meet pit depletions.
Historically, the actual CU for the corn and alfalfa crops was limited due to the large total IWR of
the pasture grass, corn, and alfalfa mix. Thus, Table 4:1 presents the net dry-up CU credit as the
historic pasture actual CU minus the difference between the current actual CU and the sum of the
historic corn and alfalfa actual CU.
Table 4.1 Comparison of Historic Water Use to Dry-Up and Current Water Use (AF).
Jan
I -
FIISTORiC USI~s: -
Fanu }lr~dgatc 1)cli~~crics 0.0 Feh
-

0.0 [11ar
-

0.0 Apr

2.4 hTa~°

48.1 .Iun

64.1 Jul

110.1 Aue

86.3 Scp

35.7 nct

53 N~~°
_: -

0.0 Dcc
-

0.0 To#at~

352:0''
(:alciil tted Putenfial) ('~~
-~ - 0.0 0.0 0.0 6.6 27.6 67.1 104.1 94.2 41.9 20.2 0.0 0.0 ,36~~8~~
1'o[cntial.
