Adjacent, separate facility areas will contain the mine <br />ventilation :>haft and exhaust fan, and the main substation. <br />Description> of all proposed structures and facilities are provided later <br />in this section. <br />All structurE~s will be designed and constructed, and will be utilized and <br />maintained, to provide for specific needs and minimize potential <br />environmental damage and safety hazards. Engineering designs will be <br />prepared foir the facility structures to insure compliance with applicable <br />local building codes. Proposed construction specifications provided <br />herein are based on typical building requirements that are best suited <br />to the site and intended uses. <br />Upon completion of mining and related operations, physical structures <br />will be salvaged, demolished, or remain if approved to support <br />postmining (land use. Demolition debris remaining after structure <br />salvage procedures will be placed in designated disposal sites in the <br />portal face-up area, covered, and the disposal areas reclaimed <br />- -coincidental-with-baekfiilFi-ng-the-surrounding ar-eas: Northfield will <br />obtain approval, as necessary, from Fremont County and the affected <br />landowner prior to disposal of demolition debris within disturbed areas. <br />• Disturbed areas will then be regraded, ripped as necessary to alleviate <br />compaction, topsoil will be replaced, and the areas will then be <br />revegetated as described in the reclamation plans in Section 2.05.4. <br />Major structures and facilities to be utilized in conjunction with <br />Northfield's mining and related operations include the following: <br />- Mine Portal <br />- Hoist: System <br />- Surface Rail Access Area <br />- Mine Ventilation Shaft, Fan and Housing <br />- Mine Office/Bathhouse Buildings <br />- Shops/Warehouse Buildings <br />- Storage Areas <br />- Cruslhing and Screening Facility <br />- Coal Conveyors <br />- Truclc Scale and Scale House <br />- Topsoil Stockpiles <br />- Mine Waste Permanent Stockpile <br />-Mine Roads <br />- Ponds, Impoundments, and Diversions <br />• - Power Transmission Lines and Associated Facilities <br />- Mine Dewatering System <br />2.05.3-9 Revised 5/01/07 <br />
