Zack
Rlr: Siloam Stone Mine
This letter is to request an inspection due to our belie£that Silaatn Stone is out of
compliance on the 1 b0 acre gxandfathered nursing lease in Puebla County. As property
owners of a portion of the 160 acres, we feel that Siloam. Stone is Mining more than the
20 acres at any one time than is allowed. We also feel ghat they axe not reclaiming the
amount of acreage xequired in that 24 acre mine. O£ the portion they state to have
reclaimed, we ~'ee1 that they are not i.n compliance with what is requited to be planted.
Yau may refer to the Fuebto County Planning Public Hearing dated February, 26, 204$
for SUP Z00$R041 at which Siloam Stave was denied their request. You can access the
in~'armation firom their website at
http•/lwww co pueblo co us/planningr/glanning_cases~index ohy~dir=SUP%242U0$-001 /
Or go to tkte Pueblo County website and go to Planning Cases. I was inforztted by the
County Plaxuuing ofFice that the minutes may take a couple of weeks to be posted since
they were taken by hand anal the hearing was four hours lang.
On this website, you will find the submitted evidence presented to the Fueblo County
Planning Couneii Nletat-bers. Not oztly the minutes for the meeting, which we believe you
wi11 find same questionable items, but pictures, statements and signatures a£ other
property owners at Red Creek Ranch and along Siloam !toad. Also included, was a
satellite photograph map of Section 3b, the area a£which Siloam Stone has a state
mineral lease. The aerial map shows just haw mucky property is being mined. ~`o out
untrained eye, it !oaks a lot larger. Yau will notice toads from the heavy equipment and
trucl~s into other areas as well as small stashes o£ stockpiled rock. Are these included in
the total acreage allowed?
