Based on the groundwater
sampling plan approved by the DMG, a site wide average maybe used plus 1 standard deviation to establish
background levels. This will establish a site wide baseline total dissolved solid concentration of 1,075 mg/L.
3.2.4 pH
PH levels ranged from 6.83 up to 7.54. This range is considered normal for groundwater. It is recommended that the
CDPHE limits of 6.5 to 8.5 be used to evaluate pH conditions at the site.
3.2.5 Chloride
Chloride concentrations have not been higher than the SDWS nor have they shown an identifiable increase or decrease
in concentrations over the sampling period.
Chloride

We lls (CRM W) Site/
01 02 04 05 06 07 09 16 40 41 42 Grou
Oct-05 136.9 155.5 95.3 ----- 125.8 128.2 ----- ----- 105.6 104 ----- 121.6
Nov-05 139 161 114 146 119 122 225 120 102 113 129 135.5
Dec-05 139 150 115 ---- 113 107 ----- ----- 103 119 ----- 120.9
Apr-06 134 138 122 ---- 112 99.9 ----- ----- 92.3 117 ----- 116.5
Jul-O6 155 163 81.9 ---- 123 100 ----- ----- 85.1 121 ----- 118.4
Oct-06 171 158 110 94.3 95.8 123 256 122 107 127 127 135.6
Average 145.8 154.3 106.4 120.2 114.8 113.4 240.5 121.0 99.2 116.8 128.0 126.5
Stnd Dev. 14.4 9.2 14.9 36.6 10.8 12.6 21.9 1.4 8.6 7.8 1.4 31.5
Baseline 160 163 121 157 126 126 262 122 108 125 129 158
The average result for chloride is 126.5 mg/L with a standard deviation of 31.5.
