M-1992-069.,
Dear Ms. Davis:
Thank you for the information concerning handling of diesel and other oil contaminated soils at
the 83rd Joint Ventures Pit. Moving these materials out of the area so they can "air out" prior to
incorporation into surface soils at the site is an acceptable method of disposal of the diesel
contaminated materi~>tl. Also acceptable is to take the other oil contaminated material and
incorporate it directly into the asphalt plant feed at the Riverview Resource mine (MLRB Permit
M-1999-098). Thank ;you for your attention to these matters.
With the completion of the above activities the mitigation measures for the fuel and oil spills are
now complete. AggrE~gate Industries may cease dewatering the 83rd Joint Venture Pit.
If you have any questiion, please do not hesitate to call me at 303-866-3863.
Sincerely,
~~--
Carl B.
