F
~r
ANNUAL REPORT
Operator:
Location:
File Number:
Anniversary Date:
United Companies of Mesa County
15 Road Pit
M-2002-114
March 13, 2008
This location was active this year. The area shown on the east side of the sketch was
added by an amendment to the permit. The plan is to mine the east area and only the east
area until it is mined out. East area reclamation will begin once the mining has returned
to the original pit area. I expect the material from the east area will continue to be hauled
to the area noted "Mining, Crushing, Stockpiling" and processed there as it is currently.
Just last week the I-70 berm was seeded. This area is shaded light green on the sketch.
Weed control will continue to take place at least twice a year. The selenium content of
the pit discharge water continues to be equal to or lower than the main stem of the
Colorado River. Some additional soil has been placed as reclamation sloping in phase
one.
Sincerely,
Brent W. Kerr
