ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE (Page 2) MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-IeRn-add INSPECTION DATE: 3/~mR INSPECTORoS INITIALS: -B.I~- OBSERVATIONS The Division conducted a monthly monitoring inspection of the site on 3/3/08/ Present during the inspection was Mr. Mark Vanoni of CC&V. The area had received measurable snow the day before which was evident at the time of the inspection. Inspected the Phase I,II,III AND Phase IV LEACH PAD FACILIT AREA. Surface water drainage structures around the facility were found to be in good repair. The following readings were collected from the Phase I,II,III AND IV High and Low Volume Solution collection transducers. Phase I High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # l,read out meter still not functioning,# 2 was recorded at 41.8 and # 3 was at 42.9. Low Volume solution collection transducer $ 1 was recorded at.32 and #2 was at .23. Piezometer for the pond was at 45.0 feet Phase II High Volume Solution Collection transducer # 4 was recorded at34.6 #5 was at 34.9 and # 6 was at 33.3. Low Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 was recorded at.16 and # 2 was at .59. Piezometer for the pond was at 34.3. Phase IV High Volume Solution collection Transducer # 7 was recorded at 38.4 # 8 was at 36.4 #9 was at 37.7 and # 10 was at 38.2. Low Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 was at 11.6 and # 2 was at 14.3 inches of hydrostatic head. Inspected the under drain area. All lower ponds were dry, with the sane amount of snow cover noted through out the permit area, from the recent event. Both the south under drain and AG 1 were discharging at a much lower flow than was noted during the last inspection. Walked to AG 1.5 NPDES discharge point, it was dry. Inspected the External pond, it was holding approximately 18.5 feet of fresh water, water appeared partially frozen at the surface. Low volume solution collection transducer for the pond was recorded at 12.1 for # 1 and 13.5 inches of hydrostatic head for # 2. Note: All hydrostatic head readings are in feet, unless otherwise noted. :,;: Inspected the crusher area, it was active at the time of the inspection, Storm water-` management structures for the area were found to be in good repair. Inspected the main Cresson pit area, it was active at the time of the inspection. Storm water diversion structures for the haul roads were found to be in good repair. CC&V plans to conduct additional maintenance in the area in anticipation of Spring run off. Inspected the Iron Clad/Globe Hill area r..
