GENERAL BID SPECIFICATIONS ' <br /> The Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program General Bid Specifications <br /> 1992, which include General Conditions , Standard Work Specifications, and <br /> Standard Drawings and Figures are intended to complement these Special <br /> Conditions. The Special Conditions combined with the General Bid <br /> Specifications 1992 form the complete Invitation and Bid document. Please <br /> refer to the Standard Work Specifications for all applicable types of work <br /> required in the Special Conditions. The General Conditions apply to all work <br /> covered in the Special Conditions. Copies of the General Bid Specifications <br /> are available at the Pre-Bid Meeting or from the Colorado Mined Land <br /> Reclamation Division, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> (303) 866-3567. <br /> PROJECT START <br /> The project is scheduled with a startup date for October 12, 1992. If a <br /> contractor cannot schedule construction during this period, please do not bid <br /> on this project. A Notice of Award will be sent to the apparent low bidder <br /> within four (4) days of the bid opening. The Mined Land Reclamation Division <br /> must receive the required insurance, bonds and project schedule within <br /> fourteen (14) days after the bid opening. At the expiration of the fourteen <br /> days CLMRD may elect to award the contract to the next lowest bidder. Bidders <br /> are advised to keep close contact with CMLRD during this period. <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE AND PRE-CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> The project is scheduled for construction between October 12 and <br /> November 11 , 1992. A schedule of work items to be completed within this time <br /> period must be submitted to the PROJECT MANAGER for approval prior to the <br /> start of construction. The project schedule shall show Time Lines of major <br /> activities and Bid items, and shall demonstrate the CONTRACTORS ability to <br /> complete the project within the allotted time. <br /> TIME OF COMPLETION <br /> The time of completion allowed for the project is 30 calendar days after <br /> receipt of the Notice to Proceed. <br /> LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br /> The liquidated damages for this project will be $300.00 per day. Please see <br /> "General Conditions" , Numbers 9 and 10. <br /> BID BOND <br /> A bid bond is required for this job. Please see the "General Conditions" <br /> Number 4. <br /> -2- <br />
