BID ITEM 5: REVEGETATION <br /> All areas disturbed during reclamation work will be revegetated according to <br /> the Revegetation Specifications in the General Bid Specifications 1992. Seed <br /> will be supplied by the OWNER. Either commercial fertilizer or manure are <br /> acceptable for this project. <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor <br /> construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and <br /> constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available <br /> during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. ) on weekdays. <br /> Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior <br /> approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. The following items must be observed and <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1 . Bedrock or footing anchoring of both bulkhead seals prior to course <br /> work. <br /> 2. Initial waste-soil excavation and placement prior to utilizing <br /> subsoils for the adit backfills. <br /> 3. Final grade prior to revegetation steps. <br /> ADDITIONAL BID ITEM <br /> Included on the Bid Schedule is an additional bid item. This bid item is not <br /> guaranteed, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, <br /> and only after approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid item for <br /> this project includes: <br /> Bid Item 6: EQUIPMENT RENTAL <br /> Additional track-hoe time using a CAT 215 hoe or equivalent is anticipated for <br /> minor surface work and shrub transplanting after final grade over the reclaim <br /> areas is achieved . Equipment Rental Specifications as described in the <br /> General Bid Specifications, 1992, will be adhered to except for horsepower <br /> adjustment. No adjustment will be made if a larger hoe is to be used.
