EXHIBIT "B" CON'T <br />Land capability subclass (non-irrigated): 8e <br />Typical profile <br />0 inches to 1 inch-stony loam <br />1 inch to 14 inches-gravelly loam <br />14 to 24 inches-very cobbly loam <br />24 to 60 inches-very cobbly loam, very cobbly sandy loam <br />Minor Components <br />Pinon and similar soils <br />Composition: About 5 percent <br />Major Uses <br />Livestock grazing, wildlife habitat <br />This site is a previously disturbed mining area that had had some <br />reclamation done in the area. Under the Notice of Intent (permit number P- <br />2007-018) issued through the Department of Reclamation, Mining & Safety <br />and the Bureau of Land Management (COC 71183) there has been a <br />prospecting site developed. <br />There is no permanent man-made structures located within two hundred feet <br />of the proposed permit area. <br />There is no live water in the proposed area to be disturbed. The nearest live <br />water is East Paradox Creek which flows into the Delores river which is <br />approximately 4.91 miles to the Northwest from the proposed permit area. <br />The major rivers in the Uravan Mineral Belt are the Dolores River and its <br />largest tributary, the San Miguel River. Neither river is contiguous with the <br />proposed permit area. Only ephemeral streams, which flow in response to <br />precipitation events. These ephemeral drainages may contribute to the <br />Dolores and San Miguel Rivers during precipitation events.(U.S. <br />Department of Energy July 2007 ). <br />Both the Dolores and the San Miguel Rivers have large seasonal <br />fluctuations in flow, with high runoff in the spring and low flow after mid- <br />summer.
