'
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: Annual Permit Report
M-1981-207
Blue. Pit
Mining continued this past year along the northern and southern boundaries between stations 7+00 and
14+00 at an elevation of 6108.
Western Slope Aggregate, Inc. did not undergo any stripping of topsoil or overburden during 2007
operating season. This leaves the 92,000 cubic yards of topsoil stockpiled at the east end of the site and
the 364,000 cubic yards of overburden in place for future reclamation use.
The pit has also taken in 68,897 cubic yards of inert material that was placed on the northeast line at
station 4+00 at an elevation of 6159 and pushed around to the north boundary headed west. This
material was placed in two-foot (2') lifts as to keep the slope stabilized to accept finishing sloping. We
have followed the TR-003 technical review and have inspected each load coming in as well as their
placement.
Pursuant to TR-006 adequacy review we have increased our overall bond amount from
$250,000.00 to $307,000.00, see attached. Upon request from Steve Shuey, we have preformed a site
survey by Gamba and Associates and calculated estimated soil balance report for future reclamation
use between stations 0+00 and 14+00, see attached.
No new reclamation has been done.
"Financial Warranty" is in place. See attached.
All corners are marked with appropriate interval signs still in place.
Respectfully submitted,
William M.
