a ~ •~°` <br />Alfalfa is a very intensively managed crop, but it is common for yields to decline dramatically <br />five to seven years after initial establish due to the invasion of weeds artd grasses, diseases, and <br />nematodes. Furthermore, due to autotoxicity, alfalfa cannot be planted immediately after <br />alfalfa.
