~-~-~~ <br />Colorado Springs Utilities <br />It's how we're all connected <br />February 25, 2008 <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Dear Sir/Madam, <br />RE: M-1992-074, Clear Spring Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2 <br />Colorado Springs Utilities herein submits the 2007 annual report, on your standard form <br />and the attached Mining Plan map for the Clear Spring Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2 in <br />accordance with Rule 1.15 of Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for 112 Permits. All the required information is shown on the <br />attached Mining Plan map. The annual fee of $791.00 is also enclosed. <br />During the fifteenth year of operation, no additional acres have been affected in Phase 5. <br />In 2008, mining may be expanded in Phases 5 and 6. The total affected area is 22.50 <br />acres, of which about 8.89 acres are currently experiencing some mining activity. <br />Reclamation has occurred in the areas shown on the map. This represents approximately <br />3.99 acres, which has been top soiled, fertilized and reseeded. Currently there are no <br />plans to reclaim additional acreage in 2008. <br />We anticipate that the enclosed report and map meet your requirements.
