applicant has selected based on the requirements of Rule 4.15.7(3). <br />F. The reference areas will be utilized to determine revegetation success in a <br />manner which the Division finds acceptable 4.15.7(4)). <br />XII. Post-mining Land Use <br />Northfield proposes to reclaim the disturbed area to rangeland. The post- <br />mining land use is the same as the pre-mining land use. No alternative <br />post-mining land use is approved. <br />XIII. Protection of Fish, Wildlife and Related Environmental Values <br />A. The applicant has proposed the use of persistent pesticides on the site <br />during mining and/or reclamation operations. Northfield will consult with <br />the Fremont County Weed Supervisor for the appropriate control measures <br />and herbicides necessary dependent on the species. The Division <br />proposes to approve this usage (4.18(5)(g)). <br />B. Fish and wildlife habitat is not planned post-mining land use. Wildlife <br />usage is incidental on rangeland areas (4.18(5)(1)). <br />XIV. Protection of Underground Mining <br />A. The Division does not approve surface coal mining activities being <br />conducted within 500 feet of an active or abandoned underground mine <br />(4.19(1) and 4.22.4(1)). <br />XV. Subsidence Control <br />The subsidence survey, subsidence monitoring, and subsidence control plan <br />are discussed under Section 2.05.6 Mitigation of Impacts of the permit <br />application. The application includes an inventory of structures and renewable <br />resource lands and identifies their location on Map 7. <br />A. The applicant has proposed a subsidence control plan in accordance with <br />Rule 2.05.6(6) and has committed to adopt all measures in order to reduce <br />the likelihood of subsidence, prevent material damage, or mitigate the <br />effects. The Division proposes to approve the plan (4.20.1(2) and <br />4.20.3(1)). <br />B. The applicant has proposed a subsidence monitoring program, in <br />accordance with Rule 2.05.6(6)(c), designed to determine the <br />commencement and magnitude of subsidence movements.
