Total Herbaceous Production (2007)
Predictive Equation Value for 2007: 165.33 g/m2 total herbaceous productions
1998 Rec. 1999 Rec. 2000 Rec. 2002 Rec. 2003 Rec.
Areas Areas Areas Areas Areas
Xbar 115.75 150.84 125.55 99.87 135.51
S 45.67 70.51 37.06 40.77 69.56
N 15 15 15 15 15
Nmin 48 68 27 52 82
With regazd to total herbaceous production, only the 1999 reclamation azeas met the
predicted value for total herbaceous production (utilizing a statistical evaluation) thereby
meeting the final revegetation success criterion. It was noted that all areas exhibited high
variance in their sample values.
Species Composition (2007)

•
Success 1998 Rec. 1999 Rec. 2000 Rec. 2002 Rec. 2003 Rec.
Standard Areas Areas Areas _ _ Areas Areas
Total Perennial
Species*
Warm Season
Grasses*
Cool Season
Grasses*
Relative Importance
(3%<x<40%)
4 4 5 3 0 3
3 3 2 2 0 1
1 1 1 0 0 2
All Species All Species All Species All Species All Species All Species
* Numbers reflect only those species meeting the relative importance percentage limitation
Of the azeas sampled in 2007, the 1998 reseeded or interseeded areas satisfied the final
species composition revegetation success criteria. The 1999 reclamation areas did not qualify
as Calamovilfa longifolia relative cover exceeded the 40 percent upper limit. The 2000 and
2002 reclamation areas lacked the required number of warm and cool season grasses. The
2003 reclamation areas exceeded the cool season grass criterion, but lacked adequate
numbers of warms season grass species. Area 16 from 1995 did not meet the requisite
number of perennial species, warm season or cool season grasses.
4.0 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS
Area 16 seeded in 1995, azeas reseeded or interseeded in 1998 and those revegetated in 1999
and 2000, 2002, and 2003 were quantitatively sampled in 2007 to evaluate revegetation
establishment for monitoring purposes, and identify any azeas that require implementation of
additional measures to ensure long-term revegetation success.
Coors Energy Comparry Keenesburg Mine Page 18
2007 Revegetation Monitoring Report
