Operations will be conducted during daylight hours, generally Monday <br />through Friday between 6 AM and 6 PM, with some extended hours and weekend work. <br />TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION <br />Materials mined and processed at the Mud Creek Pit will be processed on site and then <br />transported by truck to plants or construction sites for further processing and use. <br />ROUTES <br />Based on anticipated markets during the life of the pit, traffic is assumed to be fairly evenly split between eastbound <br />and westbound on US-160. No county roads will be used for the pit. <br />TRUCKS <br />A variety of trucks will be used to haul materials from the Mud Creek Pit, including single dump trucks, semi-dump <br />trucks (belly-dump, side-dump, and end-dump), and trucks with pups. Most commonly used will be dump trucks <br />with pups. Average haul for all vehicles will be 25 tons per vehicle. All trucks are properly permitted for highway use <br />and meet weight requirements for county and state highways.
