III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br /> the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br /> facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was an aerial inspection of the King Coal Mine flown by Harry Ranney on February 19, 2008. <br /> Tom Kaldenbach examined digital images from the flyover on a computer monitor on February 22, <br /> 2008. <br /> Six of the nine photos taken during the flyover are shown below. The ground was covered with snow, <br /> except where cleared for access. The site appeared as it has in recent on-ground inspections. No <br /> compliance problems were evident in the photos. <br /> Support Facilities <br /> Road surfaces appeared in good repair. <br /> General Mine Plan Compliance <br /> Ground surface disturbance appeared to be confined to approved areas. <br /> Air Resource Protection <br /> No dust problems were evident in the photos. <br /> Slides and Damaize <br /> No slope instability was evident in the photos. <br /> 3 <br />
