Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
Thank you for your phone call of February 19, 2008 withdrawing the possible permitting under
the Mined Land Reclamation Act (MLRA -CRS 34-32-101 et seq.) of the Pinon Ridge Ore Pad
project in Montrose County. It is the understanding of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and
Safety (DRMS) that Energy Fuels Resources will not continue to pursue permitting of this site at
the present time. If this is not the case, please let us know as soon as possible.
The DRMS would like to take this opportunity to inform you that any future plans to create an ore
pad for several mines, regardless of ore source, may require regulatory permits or licenses from
State agencies including a Reclamation Permit under the MLRA. We would encourage Energy
Fuels Resources to communicate with us to assess whether such permitting would be required
when plans for a pad are again considered.
Once again, thank you for working with us regarding your plans for an ore storage pad.
If you have any question, please do not hesitate to call me at 303-866-3863.
Si cerely, ~j
~~"J
Carl B.
