Coal Basin Mines - Permit No. C-81-017
The following comments and observations are provided relative to the above referenced Notices
of Violation, issued on June 17, 1993.
C-93-091 - Containment Ditch along Coal Creek
The ditch was measured during the June 15-18, 1993 inspection and the following
observations were made:
1. Location - 9 ft. upstream from culvert (24" diameter) section
Dimensions - 7 ft. wide at top, roughly parabolic shape, 7" deep at the deepest
point.
2. Location - 10 yards below the 24" culvert
Dimensions - 7 ft. wide at top, roughly parabolic shape, 6" deep at the deepest
point.
3. Location - 60 yards above sediment pond inlet.
Dimensions - 6 ft., 3 in. wide at top, roughly parabolic shape, 12" deep at deepest
point.
