III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during

This was a complete inspection of the Coal Gulch Mine conducted by of the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety. No one else was present.
The permit for this mine was revoked more than 10 years ago. DRMS's IML program had reclamation
work done on the site in September 1994. Snow cover more than 3 feet deep prevented access to the
site. The site was observed from Highway 160.
Reclamation Success
The southwest part of the site is continues to be used by an unknown party for storing 40-ft long
trailers, pick-up trucks, etc. These items were first placed there between the December 2006 and
March 2007 inspections.
No problems were evident on the site, although deep snow cover severely limited ground observations.
