1 4 <br />Ill. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Carbon Junction Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of DRMS. <br />No one else was present. The site was inaccessible due to more than 3 feet of snow cover. The site's <br />entrance road had been plowed only to within approximately one - quarter mile of the site's entrance gate; <br />consequently, only records were checked for the mine. <br />A Phase I bond release application (SL -03) covering much of the site is in review. A bond release <br />inspection was held in November 2006. <br />Availability of Records <br />All required records were on file at the office of Goff Engineering (see attached list). I also visited the <br />office of the LaPlata County Clerk and Recorder and verified that the two recent permitting applications, <br />the SL -03 bond release application and the TR -15 application, were available for public review. <br />K <br />
