<br />Per-meab i l i ty of this Lander- soil is moderately slow. <br />Available water- capacity is moderate. Effective rooting <br />depth is 60 inches for water- tolerant plants but is limited <br />to depths between 20 and 40 inches for water- sensitive <br />plants. Runoff is very slow, and the hazard of water- <br />erosion is s i i gnt . The hazaro of so i t blowing is moderate. <br />Depth to a seasonal high water- table is Z.r to .. feet <br />during Apr- i I throuOh June. The hazard of flooding is rare. <br />This unit is used for irrigated hay and pasture, <br />livestock grazing, and wildlife habitat. <br />The potential plant community on this soil is mainly <br />western wheatgrass, Nebraska sedge, basin wiIdr-ye, slender- <br />wheatgrass, wi I lows, and scattered cottonwood trees. The <br />average annual production of air--dry vegetation ranges from <br />1,500 to 2,000 pounds per acre. <br />This unit is we i I suited for irrigated hay and pasture. <br />There are few limitations. it is capable of producing about <br />2.5 tans of grass hay per acre per year. <br />This map unit is in capability subclass IVc, irrigated <br />and non i r-r- i 3ated . It is in the R i ver-bottom range site. <br />??1
