4h
~~
A temporary containment structure is being constructed to intercept runoff and other
waters normally entering the pond. Intercepted water will be pumped to the washed coal
processing plant and than utilized in the washing process.
Repairs to the riser pipe will begin once a track hoe is on site and weather allows the
repair and replacement of the failed drainage system. Winter storms are limiting the
travel of the oversize loads from being transported to the site due to road restrictions.
Additionally more winter storms are predicted for the North West area of Colorado.
Fortunately, weather forecasters have predicted that the temperatures will be below
freezing for at least the next 10 days. Therefore, additional surface runoff is not
anticipated in the near future.
Copies of the pond design drawings are attached.
:ott Wanstedt our Environmental Engineer at
seeded.
Cc: Jason Musick -Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
