McCannon <br /> Subject: Coal environmental remediation fund <br /> Date: June 18, 1997 <br /> Attached please find a table which summarizes the status of all Title V revoked coal mine sites. <br /> This summary is nearly complete. Please review the summary with any of your team members <br /> who have first hand knowledge of the sites of interest. If you can glean any additional <br /> information at this time to complete the summary let me know. <br /> I propose that we use this summary and the priorities which it allows us to establish, as the basis <br /> for our actions over the next several months related to establishment of a Coal Environmental <br /> Remediation Fund(CERF pronounced"serf'or"surf'). Toward that end we must accomplish a <br /> number of tasks which are outlined below in an additional table. Please review these tasks and <br /> plans and let me know if any steps have been omitted or other changes need to be made. I will <br /> need your assistance as noted. Some of the time frames are close at hand, therefore, I need your <br /> input in a timely fashion. I suggest that we meet on June 26th in the afternoon to finalize our <br /> plans.
