ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: i~~EifL-2_44 <br />INSPECTION DATE: 2/d111R INSPECTOR^S INITIALS: <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a MONTHLY monitoring inspection of the sit ON 2/4/08.Presnt during <br />the inspection was Mr. Mark Vanoni of CC&V. <br />Area had received approximately 4 inches of snow on Saturday, with what is already in <br />place most of the site with the exception of a portion of the leach pads that are being <br />leached were covered with snow. <br />Inspected the crusher area, it was not active at the time of the inspection. Inspected the <br />Cresson pit area, only the East Cresson of the Wild Horse area was active, Two of the big <br />shovels were active at the time of the inspection. The East Cresson back fill is <br />continuing and was actively being back filled at the time of the inspection. <br />Storm water drainage control structures for the haul road appeared to be in good repair. <br />Inspected the Iron Clad Globe Hill areas, the Engineering building is now fully <br />operational. No additional reclamation work other than noted in the pervious inspection <br />report was noted on the old pad and ponds. These areas with the exception of the pond <br />areas, are going to be mined in the new mine expansion plan that is expected to be <br />submitted at the end of March, 2008. <br />Inspected the Valley leach facility and recorded the following readings from the High and <br />Low Volume solution collection transducers for the pregnant ponds. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 for Phase I, the read out meter was still <br />not functioning, # 2 was recorded at 50.6 and # 3 was at 51.7/ Low volume was recorded at <br />.38 AND # 2 WAS AT .41. Piezometer for the pond was recorded at 55.6 feet. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer for Phase II AND III pregnant pond # 4 was <br />recorded at 41.6 and # 5 was at 37.8 and # 6 was at 39.9. Low volume solution collection <br />transducer # 1 was recorded at .21 and # 2 was at .52. Piezometer for the pond was <br />recorded at 44.3 feet. <br />High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 7 for Phase IV leach pad was recorded at 42.2 <br /># 8 was at 41.3 # 9 was at 42.1 and # 10 was at 42.8. Low Volume solution collection <br />transducer # 1 was recorded at 11.0 and # 2 was at 17.9 inches of hydrostatic head. <br />Inspected the External Pond, it was holding approximately 18 feet of fresh water partially <br />frozen. The Division has granted CC&V to temporarily store fresh water to be utilized on <br />the pads as make up water for the valley leach facility. Low volume solution collection <br />transducer for the pond were recorded at 13.8 and 12.4 inches of hydrostatic head. <br />Inspected the under drains discharge area, all lower ponds were covered with snow, with <br />lots of storage space, in each pond.
