Inspected the
Cresson pit area, only the East Cresson of the Wild Horse area was active, Two of the big
shovels were active at the time of the inspection. The East Cresson back fill is
continuing and was actively being back filled at the time of the inspection.
Storm water drainage control structures for the haul road appeared to be in good repair.
Inspected the Iron Clad Globe Hill areas, the Engineering building is now fully
operational. No additional reclamation work other than noted in the pervious inspection
report was noted on the old pad and ponds. These areas with the exception of the pond
areas, are going to be mined in the new mine expansion plan that is expected to be
submitted at the end of March, 2008.
Inspected the Valley leach facility and recorded the following readings from the High and
Low Volume solution collection transducers for the pregnant ponds.
High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 1 for Phase I, the read out meter was still
not functioning, # 2 was recorded at 50.6 and # 3 was at 51.7/ Low volume was recorded at
.38 AND # 2 WAS AT .41. Piezometer for the pond was recorded at 55.6 feet.
High Volume Solution Collection Transducer for Phase II AND III pregnant pond # 4 was
recorded at 41.6 and # 5 was at 37.8 and # 6 was at 39.9. Low volume solution collection
transducer # 1 was recorded at .21 and # 2 was at .52. Piezometer for the pond was
recorded at 44.3 feet.
High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 7 for Phase IV leach pad was recorded at 42.2
# 8 was at 41.3 # 9 was at 42.1 and # 10 was at 42.8. Low Volume solution collection
transducer # 1 was recorded at 11.0 and # 2 was at 17.9 inches of hydrostatic head.
Inspected the External Pond, it was holding approximately 18 feet of fresh water partially
frozen. The Division has granted CC&V to temporarily store fresh water to be utilized on
the pads as make up water for the valley leach facility. Low volume solution collection
transducer for the pond were recorded at 13.8 and 12.4 inches of hydrostatic head.
Inspected the under drains discharge area, all lower ponds were covered with snow, with
lots of storage space, in each pond. Both the south under drain(3gpm) and 1 inch pipe
(lgpm) were discharging at the time of the inspection.
Inspected the AG1.5 (NPDES) discharge point, no discharge was noted.
18~ E Contact Address
NAME: TIM COMER
OPERATOR: CCS~V
STREET: P_(~_RC~X 191
CITY/STATE/ZIP: vic-T~R c~i ~Ran~ ~n~~n cc: r CE
