Ill. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br /> during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br /> and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). This mine is in permanent cessation and <br /> reclamation of most areas is complete. Ground conditions on this day were snow-covered <br /> and the weather was cold and breezy. <br /> Roads <br /> The gate was found locked upon arrival. The mine access road was snow-covered and icy in <br /> places. Recent vehicle tracks were evident up to pond 5 where the tracks turned to the east <br /> on the road to the Monarch fan site and beyond. <br /> Revegetation <br /> Grasses and forbs are dormant due to winter conditions. Shrubs transplants appear healthy <br /> and grazing from wildlife was not observed.
