Box Elder Ditch shares into an unlined recharge pond on the Timnath-Connell site for
replacements of the mining depletions. CRI diverts the full farm headgate delivery of
192.59 acre-feet into the recharge site each year. The recharge delivery is based on
calculations presented in the current substitute water supply plan for the Timnath-Connell
Pit.
Surrounding Water Rights
Exhibit G-1 is a map of the permitted wells and adjudicated water rights within a half mile of the
site. Unregistered and unpermitted wells may be present on site. The well permit information
and adjudicated water right information are Exhibit G-2 and Exhibit G-3, respectively.
As required by the State Engineer's Office, a gravel pit well permit will be obtained for the
proposed uses of groundwater at the site. If the proposed use of groundwater at the SerFer Pit
site results in material injury to surrounding wells, the operator of the site will take all necessary
actions to remedy the injuries.
Water Quality
An application for a NPDES Permit will be submitted to the Colorado Health Department for the
SerFer Pit site. This permit will be obtained before the mining operations discharge groundwater
into the Cache la Poudre River.
SerFer Project
DRMS 112 Permit
Page 13
