(ACZ) received 4 miscellaneous samples from Seneca Coal Company on October 1, 2007. The
samples were received in good condition. Upon receipt, the sample custodian removed the samples from the cooler,
inspected the contents, and logged the samples into ACZ's computerized Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMB). The samples were assigned ACZ LIMB project number L65384. The custodian verified the sample information
entered into the computer against the chain of custody (COC) forms and sample bottle labels.
All analyses were performed within EPA recommended holding times
These samples were analyzed for inorganic parameters. The individual methods are referenced on both, the ACZ invoice
and the analytical reports. The extended qualifier reports may contain footnotes qualifying specific elements due to QC
failures. In addition the following has been noted with this specific project:
1. This project has been revised to qualify the potentially dissolved Chromium on L65384-03. The client questioned the
value based on historical results. ACZ reviewed the raw data and determined that there was an earlier run that indicated~i
value was~actually IesG than rtPtactinu An attempt was made-to re-analyze but all appropriate contamers a een
disposed. ACZ believes the problem to be a interferent from the carrier gas ArCI which has the same mass/charge ratio as
Chromium. Future samples will be run utilizing the collision cell mode which corrects for this interference.
REPAD.03.06.05.01
L65384: Page 2 of 12
