6. Handling complaints - Although there has never been a known complaint about the <br />mining operation in its entire life, complaints are handled by the contractor doing the <br />mining. Exactly what would be done to address the complaint depends on the nature of <br />the concern, but at the very least the contractor would promptly meet with the <br />complainant and listen to their concerns. If the concerns required some kind of action to <br />be taken within the pit, action would be taken to the extent possible within the constraints <br />imposed by federal and state safety requirements or other permit requirements.
