(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1978-172
INSPECTION DATE: 1/4/2008 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS THM
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal program established by the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety. The Antelope Hill Pit is located northeast of Delta, Colorado off of Sundown Road. The site is
a 1 l2c-phased operation with 70.17 permitted acres.
The mine identification sign was in place and in compliance with rule 3.1.12. The sign is located on a post at the
main entrance on the north side of the gravel mine. The permit boundaries are comprised of fence posts with PVC
pipe on top that are easily identifiable around the entire perimeter of the mine.
The pit is currently not active. No equipment was observed in within the permit boundary. Adequate amounts of
topsoil and overburden appeared to be stockpiled for the permitted reclamation plan. A few small stockpiles of
material were present during the inspection. Some miscellaneous mine related equipment and lumber was observed
along the western edge of the permit area. No evidence of major storm water erosion was noted. The boulder
armoring that was constructed after the August 2003 inspection appeared to stabilize the affected slope.
Various weeds were observed along the permit boundaries. The infestation was light and it appeared that no
noxious weeds were present.
Photos that show the conditions observed during the inspection are included at the end of this report.
No problems or violations were noted or observed during the January 4, 2008 inspection.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Travis Marshall at the Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone
no. 970-623-5596.
I & E Contact Address cc:
NAME: Bob Kalenak ?
