This letter presents the results of the laboratory tests of the
samples provided to us by Mr. Jed Greenwood, Barr Engineering
Company. The samples were delivered to our office 12 July 2006.
The laboratory assignment was submitted to us 17 July and revised
19 July 2006. We initiated our laboratory study 17 July 2006 and
completed our study 3 August 2006.
The laboratory study consisted of performing:
. Moisture content,
. Atterberg limits tests,
. Sieve analysis tests, and
. Hydrometer tests.
Moisture Content and Dry Density
The moisture content was determined according to ASTM Test
Method D2216. The results of the moisture determinations are
presented on Figure 1.
Atterberg Limits Tests
The Atterberg limits tests were conducted in general accordance
with ASTM Test Method D4318. The results of the Atterberg limits
tests are presented on Figures 2 through 3.
