SECTION 03100 <br />CONCRETE FORMWORK <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A. All Work included in this Section shall be done in accordance with the following <br />paragraphs as well as the general requirements as outlined in Division 1 of these <br />Specifications. <br />B. Work covered under this Section shall include providing fmal site grading, formwork, <br />and shoring necessary for the placement of all cast-in-place concrete and any <br />embedments or items to be cast into the concrete. <br />C. Concrete, reinforcing steel and embedments are not included in this Section. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK <br />A. Section 03200: Concrete Reinforcement <br />B. Section 03300: Cast-In-Place Concrete <br />1.03 REFERENCES <br />' A. Work covered under this Section shall be in accordance with the latest available version <br />of the following references unless otherwise noted <br />' 1. ACI 117, "Standard Tolerances for Concrete Construction and Materials, Chapter 2" <br />2. ACI 301, "Specifications for Structural Concrete for Buildings, Chapter 4" <br />' 3. ACI 318, "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete" <br />4. ACI 347, "Recommended Practice for Concrete Formwork" <br />5. ACI SP-4, "Formwork for Concrete" <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />' A. No submittals are necessary for materials and supplies covered under this Section which <br />comply with the applicable Specifications. <br />' 1.05 SEQUENCING AND SCHEDULING <br />A. The erection and removal of formwork shall be scheduled and sequenced to provide for <br />' the minimum curing and form removal requirements as set forth in Section 03300 of the <br />Specifications. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for sequencing form erection and <br />removal to match any concrete pours, curing, and any other adjacent or related Work <br />which may affect the placement, removal or availability of any concrete formwork. <br />' PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />' 2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Forms shall be constructed of wood, metal, or other material subject to review by <br />COMPANY. Forms shall provide a smooth continuous fmished concrete surface. <br />03100-1 <br />
