SECTION 01110 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />' PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The Contract Documents are as defined in the Instructions to Bidders and the Agreement. The <br />terms of the Contract Documents apply to these Specifications as fully as though repeated herein. <br />B. The format of these Specifications is based upon the CSI MASTERFORMAT (1995 Edition), <br />however differences in format and subject matter location do exist. It is CONTRACTOR's sole <br />responsibility to thoroughly read and understand these Specifications and request written <br />clarification of those portions that are unclear. <br />C. Division of the Work as made in these Contract Documents is for the purpose of specifying and <br />describing Work, which is to be completed. There has been no attempt to make a classification <br />according to trade or agreements which may exist between CONTRACTOR, Subcontractors, or <br />trade unions or other organizations. Such division and classification of the Work shall be <br />CONTRACTOR'S sole responsibility. <br />D. CONTRACTOR shall be bound to all Contract Documents as set forth in the Agreement, <br />including, but not limited to, Construction Drawings and Specifications. <br />E. The Work covered by the Agreement will conform to the Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />"Rules and Regulations for Dam Safety and Dam Construction. Effective Date January 1, 2007" <br />(hereafter referred to as CO/DWR Rules and Regulations) as currently adopted and administered <br />by the State Engineer's Office. <br />' F. State Engineer approved plans and specifications shall not be materially changed without the <br />prior written approval of the State Engineer in accordance with Rule 9.1.8 of the CO/DWR Rules <br />and Regulations. <br />G. The State Engineer has the authority to require material used and the Work for construction to be <br />accomplished according to the CO/DWR Rules and Regulations and that construction shall not <br />be considered complete (i.e. final payment) until the State Engineer has. accepted the Work in <br />writing. <br />1.02 DEFINITIONS <br />A. The terms used in these Specifications will have the meaning indicated in the Agreement. <br />Additional terms used in these Specifications have the meanings indicated below, or elsewhere in <br />the Contract Documents, which are applicable to both the singular and plural thereof <br />AGREEMENT -The written instrument which is evidence of the agreement between <br />COMPANY and CONTRACTOR covering the Work. <br />01110-1 <br />
