STATE OF COLORADO
DIVISION OF RECLAMATION, MINING AND SAFETY
/~
f N
l R
esources ~~
atura
Department o
lu(~"o
1313 Sherman St., Room 215 C O L O R A D O
Denver, Colorado 80203 Document Imaging CD/DVD S
Phone: (303) 866-3567
FAX: (303) 832-8106 REQUEST FORM & INSTRUCTIONS RECL
AMATION
M I N I N G
-&-
SAF ETY
Rest for the DBMS document images on the following DBMS permit file(s):
/
1
) l~~ -' `~~'~-~ ~CJ~ 2) 3) 4) Bill Ritter, )r.
p
I LV Governor
The DBMS document images can be copied to either a CD or a DVD. Pllrase check one below and return this Harris D. Sherman
form with your payment to DBMS. If a CD is requested and the permit is too lazge for a CD, you will be called. Executive Director
Please allow up to 5 business days from the receipt of this signed document for your CD or DVD to be available. Ronald w. cottony
Division Director
CD @ $5.00 pet disk DVD @ $20.00 per disk Natural Resource Trustee
Please check if you want a copy of the QuickView installation instructions.
Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD):
1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD
the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software.
2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD.
3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that
will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers
does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with
QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse
this software and the licensing and registration aze the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as
"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows".
Instructions•
1. Insert the CD into your computer.
2. Allow time for the CD to install.
3. Eject the CD from the computer.
4. Reinsert the CD into the computer.
5. You are ready to view the Permit Files.
NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView
setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program
does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program
Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request
with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us.
The Permit File document images can be viewed in the reception area of the DBMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or
DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD. DBMS cannot provide computer related
su ort.
Disclaimer:
The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DBMS) is not responsible and shall not be liable to the user for damages of
any kind arising out of the use of data or information provided by the DBMS, including the installation of the data or information, its use,
or the results obtained from its use.
