("Applicant") along the South Platte River. This
SWSP proposes to replace depletions which occur at seven different mine sites, specifically: 1)
Howe Pit, M-78-052, 2) the Tanabe Pit, M-00-002, 3) the Dunes Development, M-99-093, 4) the
Mann Lakes, M-82-147, 5) the Ft. Lupton Pit, M-85-088, 6) the Riverbend Operation, M-00-016,
and 7) Stagecoach Stop Property, M-83-067. See Condition of approval no. 10 that
identifies actions the applicant must take before further SWSPs will be approved.
Plan Operation
According to the current SWSP request the Howe Pit, Mann Lakes Pit and Stagecoach
Stop Property are active mining sites and the Fort Lupton Pit and Riverbend Operation are
inactive reserve sites which Lafarge will resume mining once it is economically feasible. Mining
operations have ceased and the liner has been approved for the Tanabe Pit and the Dunes
Development property. The gravel pits are located as shown on attached Figure 1.
This plan identifies replacement sources to cover depletions from the multiple mine sites.
The required fee of $1,799 (7 sites x $257/site) has been submitted.
