Monitoring of monuments A, G, H and I on the City of Florence waterline was
eliminated when the corresponding sections of the waterline were abandoned. In
addition, the survey monuments for the Thompson Ranch structures were
relocated in 2002 to accommodate a change in survey method to a GPS system.
Regular monitoring of the identified monuments and structures was discontinued
at the end of 2003. In order to confirm and document long-term surface
subsidence effects, EFCI will conduct two additional subsidence surveys after
2003. One survey of the remaining Florence Waterline, Thompson Ranch, and
Newlin Creek monuments will be completed during year 3 (2006) of the
reclamation liability period. The second and final survey, during year 9 (2012) of
the reclamation liability period, will also include the high-resolution grid. Both
surveys will be documented by subsidence monitoring reports, copies of which
will be submitted to the CDMG.
TR-36 2.05.6-60a Revised -October 2003
