Within this active disturbance azea, EFCI m;nim;>es erosion and runoff
by maintaining appropriate gradients on active working benches and through use of
temporary ditches and berms as appropriate.
With the exception of the coal refuse pile where incremental disturbance is offset by
progressive rec)amation in a steady-state balance, all other mine disturbance areas will
remain in a disturbed condition until after completion of all mining operations.
Upon completion of mining, EFCI will reclaim any mine facilities not approved for
retention in conjunction with postrtrirting land uses, including the portal, road and
loadout azeas in a timely fashion. Drainage structures will remain in place
to provide short-term drainage and sedvnent control during the bond liability period.
Upon receipt of a determination of reclamation success from the CMLRD for
contvbuting drainage azeas, sedimentation ponds and assocated drainage structures
will be removed and reclaimed.
